The Creators Edition imprint is one professional comic book artist’s personal mission to support the projects that he is involved with and to make an organized and purposeful attempt to amass the dollars from collectors who vote with their dollars to support the creative process. 

Books are not easy to produce.  Especially, creator-owned books.  However, the reality is that creator-owned books are what drives true innovation and, potentially, can reward the creators of those books with more than a “page rate” that compensates them poorly for their tasks. 

The vision for Creators Edition is, in the very least, help creators boost take-home page for the books that they produce by working with publishers to create a exclusive, variant covers of those book that cannot be purchased from just anywhere and are, most commonly, purchased from the creators themselves at conventions and shows. 

Beyond the pencils and inkers who oftentimes, but not always in modern times, have original art to sell to offset the promotional costs of an Artist Alley table.  Unfortunately, the balance of the creative teams on a book, the writers, colorists, letters, designers and producers don’t have anything to sell to off-set those costs and, therefore, most often must pay out of pocket. 

Beyond this practical goal, the more lofty goal is to create fund that will help creators focus on creator-owned projects and the promise of options, licensing and broader mass media by using the dollars with which you vote to sponsor and fund these projects.
